IconSplit traces alpha contours rather than using the SVG color model as a mask. The repaired raster remains the color source. Pixels away from the boundary keep the repaired PNG or WebP appearance, while the edge receives a newly rasterized smooth alpha boundary.
Outer boundaries and enclosed holes are treated as topology, so an icon should not become one solid filled silhouette.
